Neopets Metaverse - A virtual pet game inspired by the classic that inspired it all!

Introduction

Based on the iconic browser game Neopets, Neopets Metaverse is a brand-new 3D iteration currently in the Alpha stage. Neopets Metaverse is completely free-to-play and is designed for both veteran Neopians and newcomers to the Neopets Universe.

Gameplay

Much like the browser classic, Neopets Metaverse is a virtual pet collection game where players explore the 3D world of Neopia. They will care for their Neopets, which come in different species and can be customized. The game offers various activities, including quests, mini-games, and PvP battles. On top of that, players can also customize their digital homes, called the Neohome, to interact and socialize with others. Here’s a comprehensive overview of the core gameplay features:

• Neopet Care & Customization: Feed and play with your Neopets, level them up with games and social engagement, and deck them out with equipment and wearables; with our robust customization system, players can truly craft an experience unique to them and their Neopets! 

• Neohome & Lands: Build and decorate your very own Neohome: a fully customizable personal space where players can hang out and showcase their Neopets and digital collectibles!

• PvE: Engage in a main storyline quest in the style of traditional Neopets plots, complete with a bevy of  beloved Neopian characters, lore elements, and new mysteries to explore!   

• Battledome: Equip your Neopets for combat with bespoke equipment and abilities and clash with the best for a top spot in the Battledome!

• Mini-games: Enjoy revamped versions of the mini-games you love, all repolished in 3D and remastered with more fluid gameplay.

• Marketplace & Crafting: Master the in-game economy at this central bustling bazaar! Craft from the materials acquired on your journey and utilize the Marketplace to buy and sell your valuable items.

• National Neopian Bank: This secure and trusted Neopian landmark is the safest place in Neopia to store your hard-earned wealth!. 

Assets & Ecosystem

The Neopets Metaverse maintains a circular economy among its various user groups (creators, curators, and landowners) by utilizing three key asset types:

NFTs

• The Neopets Metaverse Collection (NMC) is a set of 4,225 unique Neopets NFTs. These adorable companions are generated based on seven distinct traits: species, gender, emotion, skin, background, headgear, and bodywear.

• In addition to the Neopets Metaverse Collection (NMC), various items, such as clothing, wearables, battle gear, accessories, and furniture, are NFTs used in customizing Neopets and the Neohome.

• Lands are pieces of digital real estate represented as an NFT that can be filled with assets, interactive experiences, and other features.

• Tokens: The Neopoints Meta ($NPM) serves as the game’s native token for economy and governance. It can be swapped for Codestone Meta ($CSM), the in-game currency for free-to-play and free-to-earn purposes. 

Team & Partnerships

The Neopets Metaverse Team consists of more than 20 skilled individuals worldwide, led by Dominic Law as the Chief Metaverse Officer. The team has partnerships with prominent GameFi companies such as Polygon Ventures, Blizzard Avalanche Ecosystem Fund, Hashkey Capital, IDG Capital, and the gaming giant NetDragon Websoft.
